Financial statement 2023: lagging behind previous year, but Domori brand growth continues
None, March 26, 2024 - Domori's draft financial statements for the year 2023 were approved at the Board meeting on Tuesday, March 26. As of December 31, 2023, total sales amounted to 26.3 million euros, thus closing -5% behind 2022 (equal to 1.4 million euros in absolute value). Against this figure, however, Domori brand sales performed well, closing at 13.8 million and registering a 10.4% increase over 2022.
The overall decline can be attributed both to international scenarios, which have weighed on the entire industry, and to more punctual circumstances, such as non-repeat sales in 2023 to some international players, with whom, however, negotiations have already been resumed. They will result in new sales in 2024.
Also weighing on the overall performance was the termination of a historic distribution contract with a Champagne house that took place in 2022 and was replaced, as of mid-2023, by the new Champagne Brand Barons de Rothschild, whose sales, being precisely the first year of distribution, only partially offset the 2022 turnover of the historic brand.
