Porcelana

Porcelana

8.00

Porcelana is an extremely rare and precious plant.
It was once grown in the Andes region; it was rediscovered and grafted by Domori, in the late 1990's, into our crops at Hacienda San José, in Venezuela.
Its name comes from the fact the its fruits are translucent and look like porcelain. The beans are oval with a completely smooth surface.
Porcelana is also one of the weakest varieties of cacao: once ripe, the fruits are prey to insects and fungi. From the point of view of the palate, this precious Criollo is characterised by notes of bread, butter and jam, which give it an exciting roundness.
